Walking by Faith and not by sight is an ideal way to develop faith, as muscles are developed through exercise so is faith.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
This COVID-19 Pandemic has me on a Rollercoaster Ride in the area of my health. Today (August 19th, 2020) for the third time my scheduled surgery has been postponed. Twice as a result of a lockdown and once as a result of an emergency at the hospital when I was literally sitting and waiting to go into the theater.
Walking by sight, I saw God using this surgery as a major part of my healing process but obviously that is not the case at this time.
1There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 11 (NIV)
Walking by faith God has redirected me through a Virtual Online Lifestyle Seminar to have faith in Him for healing via “NEWSTART”: Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Air, Rest and Trust’. I confess a Healthy Lifestyle was not on the top of my agenda, as I would often say “I am on a Seafood Diet, everything I see I eat.” God indeed moves in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform.
As I reflected on a character in the Bible who eventually Walked by Faith, Not Sight, I chose Sarah. She was inducted in the Hebrews 11 Hall of Fame of Faith with the Great Giants of the Faith.
And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because sheconsidered him faithful who had made the promise.
Hebrews 11:11 (NIV)
Yes, there was a time, Sarah walked by sight: God had promised that He would give her a child, and ten years later she took matters in her own hands by giving her handmaid to her husband to be the surrogate mother. Then both she and Abraham laughed when God told them within a year even though, she was barren and her husband “as good as dead”, they would have a child. But Sarah was not memorialized for her lack of faith but rather her faith in her “faithful God who had made the promise.”
God is definitely developing my faith on this COVID-19 Rollercoaster Ride even though presently maybe mustard seed size.
…Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Matthew 17:20 (NIV)
By faith I say to my Health Mountain – “Move Mountain, Mountain get out of my way. I invite you to say the same to yours: “Move Mountain, Mountain get out of my way in Jesus’ name, Amen!
For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)
