To wake up in the morning and embrace a new day is a new beginning in itself. I choose to celebrate more than ever this December. The year 2020 has conceived a lot of struggles, tragedies and major concerns, but God still showed himself strong. It is a joy to have God in our lives, to give us beauty for ashes. “Who God Keeps is well kept”
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
Isaiah 61:3 KJV
There’s nothing impossible for God. The Bible says, “He grabs hold of our right hand and tell us not to fear” (Isaiah 41:13). Once we are trusting in God we celebrate new friendships, new life, new blessings. Everything becomes new. So I say it’s a blessing to be alive! If you are still alive and able to continue on then you have a mission to accomplish. God can use you. There’s still purpose in your life regardless of what you are going through. You are able to push through whatever it is and accomplish the assignment of God.
Even if you went through 2020 in doubt. You lost hope in God or you felt yourself slipping from your godly assignment or even the law of God. It is possible that you may feel alone throughout the pandemic. You may feel bewildered because you lost something or someone special in 2020. Or maybe you just feel like giving up because every door you try to open doesn’t seem to work out for you. God is still able! “My God supplies our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ” (Philippians 4:19).
God supplies our needs – He gives us what we need,
According to his riches in glory – honoring his wealth that in His glory (this is why we receive blessings when we glorify him),
By Christ – The word says by Christ because if you don’t know him, how can you receive anything? Do you know him?
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Revelation 21:5 KJV
Jesus sat in majesty proving his sovereignty and reminding us that he can turn any old thing new. So for those that feel like things are too messed up to start over in Christ before the new year comes. God says my words are true and faithful! “Just believe!” It’s time to start over! First in God then in the beginning of a new year.
First in me and then everything else will be added unto you. Once we believe we are good to go ahead.
